Original story follows. Last week, reliable leakers suggested that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War would be adding an open world Zombies experience called Outbreak. While Activision still has yet to officially announce the new game mode, it was accidentally leaked on the Call of Duty website, which means that a Zombies Outbreak mode reveal is now just a matter of when instead of if. The Call of Duty website has been updated to remove the reference to the Outbreak game mode, but screenshots of it have been preserved by various Twitter accounts and leakers....

There are multiple situations that break the tone of realism in both the old and new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War maps. While most of the time fans do not notice, when the effect breaks a game feature the community begins to get frustrated. One of the more recent bugs to be discovered in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is one that makes calling in care packages rather difficult....

Glitching outside of a game map usually results in a never-ending fall, strange planer existence, or the underside of a map. Dubbed Season One Reloaded, the update so far brings a new weapon, the Wakizashi, a new multiplayer map called Sanitorium (which is set in a Soviet experimental health retreat and had been previously leaked), and the new Cranked mode for Zombies. This mode’s only available for a limited time and requires players to keep killing zombies to prevent a countdown timer from ticking down to their death. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War servers were unavailable for several hours on Friday, leaving players unable to play online multiplayer or Zombies content. Though these server issues were eventually fixed, players were frustrated over the outage, as it led to many missing out on the chance to progress their battle passes or enjoy Season 2’s new content. Unfortunately, the game’s servers have gone down once again, crashing four days after the previous outage....

This newfound Ray Gun issue is hardly the first visual glitch found in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies. In fact, another player recently posted a clip that saw Die Maschine being transformed into MadWorld. The bug in question looked like a filter was placed over the game, as everything from the zombies to the player’s gun were turned black, white, and red. While this new visual glitch is a bit less extreme, it is surprising for those familiar with the Ray Gun’s default appearance....

While not as hard as Defend and Holdout, Escort can be a fairly tough Outbreak objective for players to complete. While guiding the experimental rover to the three Dark Aether portals is easy enough on early World Tiers, the objective quick grows more difficult. Once Megatons begin to spawn alongside Tempests that can stop the rover in its tracks, success will require strategy and patience. However, the new Cargo Truck vehicle makes this normally tough objective a breeze....

This addition is a necessity, as the DIE Shockwave has been useless in higher World Tiers. While the RAI K-84 and original Ray Gun are some of the best weapons players can have within Outbreak, the DIE is often skipped over in favor of a regular weapon. However, this may soon change, as the Wonder Weapon is getting a major boost via the addition of ammo types around Outbreak’s many regions....

Some players hawve even run into game breaking issues, such as the infamous bug closer to the Modern Warfare 2 launch that would crash the game when players attempted to party up together. While many of these issues have been largely fixed, the constantly evolving nature of live service titles means there’s always the possibility of something going wrong when a new update hits. Thankfully, this latest glitch clearly falls into the harmless category, though the player who experiences it definitely has a bit of bad luck in this case....

“Zoombombing” sees internet hackers crash into online courses held via the Zoom online meeting platform with various forms of disruptions including profanity, hate speech and pornography. A student from Heritage High School in Brentwood, Tatiana Torres, told California’s KRON-TV: “There was this first person there were saying the n word repeatedly and like I hate Black and brown people and another kid started doing it and kind of saying like some bad words and then the n word, too....

The boy was attacked while at home in Oro Grande on Monday, the Daily Press reported. A relative who was watching the child had stepped out of the room, leaving the boy alone with the pit bull, and when they returned, the animal was mauling the child. The fire, which began July 13, burned nearly 1 million acres, destroyed 1,329 structures and left an additional 95 damaged. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, also known as Cal Fire, announced Tuesday that investigators determined the blaze was caused by electrical distribution lines owned and operated by PG&E making contact with a tree west of the Cresta Dam in the northern part of the state. Cal Fire said in its statement that it has forwarded its investigative report to the Butte County District Attorney’s Office....

According to the NAPSG Live Fire Web App, the Mankin fire began on Friday at 11:26 a.m., and the San Diego area fire began at 7:39 p.m., Friday. Many fires have been mostly contained, including Hill, Cow and Hillside, which are all over 90 percent contained, according to NAPSG. Six people have died so far. Tens of thousands have been evacuated, with nearly 700 homes damaged by the fires, the Associated Press (AP) reported. Some 2,500 nurses plan to walkout from Christmas Eve to January 3 amid anger over staffing rates and coronavirus safeguards, including PPE. New York reported 408,886 cumulative positive cases of the virus on Wednesday, but California reported 413,576 cases of the infection. Health officials reported 12,807 new cases of the virus on Wednesday, a number Newsom said was “the highest reported number in our state.” Newsom also reported the deaths of 115 individuals from the virus on Wednesday. “It’s just another reminder, if I need to remind anybody, of the magnitude of impact that this virus continues to have,” Newsom said....

Though Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused gas prices to spike across the country, California’s have risen the highest, with the statewide average currently sitting at $5.87 per gallon, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
