And that’s exactly why players aren’t great with the Expedite 12. They hipfire the weapon and that makes sense for most shotguns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. But if players beef up the range a tad and capitalize on the aim down sight speed, they can be the most lethal combatant in short-to-mid-range encounters.

Attachments

To be clear, these are somewhat unorthodox attachments for a shotgun. For those who want a more traditional shotgun experience, use something else. The reason for using the Expedite 12 is because gamers like using a shotgun in a particular way.

The damage should be plenty high enough to kill most players in one or two hits, especially with the slug. The fire rate is better than both of the Bryson shotguns, so so don’t be afraid to plan on two shots at mid-range. At close range, even with damage sacrificed a tad, it’s still way more than strong enough to take out a player in a single shot.

Improve this even more by tuning the weapon to favor aim down sight speed and range. The goal is to snap to an aim, fire, and then get moving. It’s a shotgun, so stopping power isn’t an issue but range and aim time can be.

Secondary Weapon

Basilisk

Forfeiting launchers or a knife is not an issue for the build. Launchers take care of outdoor targets and this build should try to keep it inside. The knife is effective in melee range, but this shotgun is even more effective. Therefore, a handgun becomes a wise decision to use.

The Basilisk has the longest range of the handguns. Since mid-range or longer is the only reason not to use the Expedite 12, that makes it the clear choice. After performing a prestige, weapons will reset, so remember to re-equip this when it gets unlocked the next time around.

Tactical & Lethal Slots

The game has some excellent and diverse maps, so it is important to choose gadgets that can be used in most situations. The heartbeat sensor is a fan favorite for all combatants that enjoy mid-range or closer; knowing where enemies are before seeing them is always useful.

Although a few grenade selections are enticing, this build will need to stay active in the range it thrives. Players can’t afford to wait while cooking a grenade or timing the detonation. They need immediate results. The instant burst of flame from the Molotov Cocktail will either kill the foe or scare them from cover, allowing the shotgun to get an easy finishing blow.

Perks

The best perks for this loadout need to get the player ready for high-action, maximum-intensity situations. The weapon is already primed against melee opponents and stopping power is superior to SMGs, but that leaves explosives and mid-range damage to contend with. Battle Hardened and Bomb Squad negate or severely reduce this kind of damage.

Quick Fix encourages players to keep shooting and healing. In situations where only one person survives in a room with multiple soldiers, this is the loadout that will do it. Finally, Hardline is a great perk for builds that favor high risk and reward, giving them killstreak rewards faster.

Field Upgrade

There are some top-notch field upgrades out there, don’t feel bad grabbing some of the most effective choices.

This build is not a stealth build by any means, but players will still need a way to get in position. DDOS and Dead Silence both have the quicker cooldowns possible, stopping enemies from seeing on the map or hearing them approach. The toughest challenge for the Expedite 12 is getting into the correct position. These field upgrades make that process a breeze.

Killstreak Rewards

Because of the nature of the combat style, expect to kill a few players with every spawn but don’t expect to live long afterward. The build has an excellent kill-to-death ratio, but it does favor action over safety. Get killstreaks that are easy to earn.

The AVs are self-explanatory. The Mortar Strike might seem like an odd choice, but the repeated blasts will force players at range to get closer or die. If they get closer, the Expedite 12 is ready to finish them off. If they refuse, then they get to be fodder for the mortars.

Get the graphics settings just right and this build is unstoppable.
