Now, according to recent reports, the world champion F1 racer Lewis Hamilton is set to join the ever-expanding cast of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as a character in the game, as evidenced in the renowned athlete’s tweet below. However, it remains to be seen exactly how much impact his role within the forthcoming first-person shooter will have on the plot line of its single-player campaign.

For the past several weeks, there has been speculation that Hamilton would be making an appearance in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, but it was officially confirmed when the French station M6 broadcasted an interview and exclusive footage of the F1 racing star doing motion capture filming for the game. According to Hamilton, taking part in the process was a privilege, with him saying that he’s been a gaming fan for quite a while.

According to Hamilton, he is set to make an appearance within six different scenes of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, with the footage from his Los Angeles filming session showing him as having a speaking role. Interestingly enough, the F1 racing champion won’t be the only athlete making an appearance in the futuristic shooter, as the UFC fighter Conor McGregor has a part in the game as well.

Taking all of this into consideration, it seems as if the star power for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set to reach proportions of an astronomically large size, for not only are Lewis and McGregor set to appear in the game, but also Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington is the main villain. With so many recognizable faces being a part of Infinite Warfare, it’s safe to presume the title’s budget is one of the biggest of the year, especially when one also accounts for the fact that Call of Duty is one of Activision’s most lucrative franchises.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set to release on November 4, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
