The latest side quest takes the form of a special racetrack where players take control of an ARC-XD, with the track being accessed via an arcade machine. However, unlike Forsaken’s other Arcade easter eggs, some extra work needs to be done to make this specific machine spawn. For those interested, here is how to complete the new map’s race easter egg.

Activating Forsaken’s Hidden Arcade Machine

The first thing players will need for this easter egg is PhD Slider, the new perk added alongside Forsaken. While its various upgrades will provide a number of different benefits, players only need the slide attack from the default version. Once they have purchased PhD Slider (which can be found in the Observation Tower or the Wunderfizz machine), they will want to gun down the undead until just one zombie is left standing. They can then head towards the building that houses Deadshot Daiquiri, making sure that the final zombie is following closely behind them.

On the second floor of this building, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players will find a powered off arcade machine as soon as they climb up the steps (it is in the room with the armor stand). They then need to use PhD Slider on the zombie while it is in front of the machine. If done correctly, the machine will turn on, and players can interact with the green screen to begin the well-hidden race. For those having trouble getting the enemy to stay still, a Decoy or Monkey Bomb would be a great way to make it stand still.

The Forsaken RC-XD Race And Its Rewards

The secret race essentially works like one of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies trials in the sense that players will get a better reward depending on how well they perform in the race. Salvage and Essence drop in high amounts, making this a great easter egg to do early on so that players can maximize their armor and Pack-A-Punch their weapon of choice. Players will be able to see the laps in the bottom corner and their current reward status in the upper left, keeping track of how well they are doing as the race progresses.

As for the racetrack itself, it is simple, with players just needing to follow the purple arrows on the ground. They will need to complete three laps of the RC-XD track, which should get progressively easier as players get familiar with the path they need to take. All the usual RC-XD features are included, like a boost and a jump. An awesome touch with this particular easter egg is that it is fully functional in co-op, meaning that gamers are able to race against each other and compete to see who is the best driver. With memorable side quests like this one, it is hardly a surprise that Forsaken is being so well received by the Zombies community.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
