The commercial takes on a 1980s theme, which is fitting considering the latest Zombies mode’s setting. Directly connected to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s campaign universe, the Dark Aether narrative is set in the same time period as the main story, sharing its 80s style and technology. Keeping the spirit alive, Redditor Status-Lavishness-34 has their commercial playing on an old TV, with the cassette tape style start-up serving as a great wave of nostalgia for those familiar with the commercials of the era.

After the fuzziness fades, the Redditor’s commercial begins to play the Juggernog perk jingle, a piece of music that should be easily recognizable for long-time fans of Call of Duty Zombies. Starting off slightly distorted, the song quickly kicks into full gear as people show off various drinks that are meant to resemble the game’s perk cans. Various colors of soda can be seen getting poured out of a machine, likely meant to resemble the game’s other perks. Between these shots, a clip of a player drinking Jugger-Nog in game is slipped in, further building the immersion.

The commercial concludes with shots of the detailed perk cans for Jugger-Nog and Quick Revive sitting against a black backdrop. A nice touch sees Jugger-Nog’s can resting on its side while Quick Revive stands upright, giving a bit of visual variety to the custom-made screen. A bit of text that reads “grab a refreshing cola” is seen above the cans, driving home the point that this is meant to be an in-universe commercial. After this image, the video ends and the old TV screen fades to black.

This is hardly the first time that the Call of Duty Zombies community has shown a bit of creativity. Many fans have made props and replicas from the game, ranging from Wonder Weapons like the Thundergun and Wunderwaffe DG-2 to drinkable versions of the game’s perks. This is undoubtedly one of the more unique posts, though, as the Zombies community has seen nothing like this commercial prior to Status-Lavishness-34 showing off their hard work.

With more Zombies perks coming in future Seasons, players have asked the fan to make more commercials like this one. While it remains to be seen if the creative player takes them up on the request, at the very least fans will always be able to appreciate this special Jugger-Nog advertisement.
