Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is keeping things fresh with seasonal updates, and this season 3 update is adding a ton of new content. Players can expect to see new multiplayer maps, zombies content, playable characters, and more, so it’s a good time to be a fan. Season 3 officially begins at 9 PM PT April 21 (12 AM ET April 22).

As with every new season in games like this, the first thing players should expect is a new battle pass. This will give them a chance to grind through 100 ranks of rewards throughout the course of the season, adding new characters and other unlockables. Beyond that, there are also two new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode, and several new multiplayer features for fans to enjoy. Zombies isn’t being ignored either, as players will soon have access to new outbreak regions and maps as well as powerups and weapons.
Treyarch and Activision have already released a content roadmap showing what is planned to be coming in the near future throughout season 3, so players that want more information can dig into that. Kicking things off, the Hunt for Adler event sees players take to both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in an effort to discover clues about where Adler is. This cross game event should be interesting to say the least. In addition to all of this, there’s also some balance changes that could shake up the meta a bit.

These detail even minute changes to the way certain guns work, so players should be able to learn everything they need by scouring through the patch notes.
