As one of the newest weapons in the Call of Duty franchise, and many fans are excited for the possibilities that the weapon offers in multiplayer and battle royale environments.

The rifle is described as a burst fire tactical rifle for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The weapon boasts moderate firepower and improved recoil and has a large ammo pool compared to other tactical rifle options. The gun is most effective at mid-to-long range combat but could be built for a different set of distance options. The weapon has a unique barrel that resembles a railgun, and the overall design looks similar to the FFAR. While the impact of this weapon is unknown, tactical rifles have often made a big impact on the game in past encounters.

The reveal also comes with a unique blueprint option with the Plastik Prototype bundle appearing in the in-game store. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War blueprint is titled the “Konsole,” and the bundle comes with an emblem, charm, sticker, and a tier skip for the battle pass. Players who want to bypass the challenge can spend 1200 CP and unlock this blueprint as an alternative option.

As for the challenge, players will need to bring out their best tactical rifle option. To unlock this new Call of Duty weapon, fans need to get two rapid kills in 20 different games. The challenge will unlock the CARV .2 along with branding 1000 XP to the player’s account.

Based on the starting stats, the CARV .2 has mid-ranged firepower, speed, and accuracy, along with a 4 magazine 30 round clip. The weapon’s power is hard to judge, but many fans have thus far shared a positive experience with the gun. It is currently unclear if the weapon will make it into the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War meta or if it will fall into another niche community as an alternative weapon option.
