Retail listings have been popping up for the season pass of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and unsurprisingly, the price is once again nearly the same as the game itself. For $50, players are going to be getting the following content after the game launches this month:
4 Exclusive Blackout characters 12 additional multiplayer maps Classified Zombies map at launch 4 Additional Zombies experiences
By now, players should be pretty familiar with the Call of Duty season pass as previous entries have also come in at the $50 price tag and typically feature four post-release packages containing 4-5 maps. Things may be a bit different with Black Ops 4 as Treyarch has previously stated that the content will be spread out a bit more often than in chunks like past games have done. At the very least, Treyarch plans to keep the Blackout experience fresh by making consistent updates and responding to player feedback in a timely manner, similar to games like Fortnite.
Details on each of the items remain scarce, though it’s generally believed that the additional Zombies experiences will be full-length campaigns similar to the three launching with the game. The extra maps that the season pass provides will be more important than ever this year as the base game is surprisingly only launching with 11 maps. For a game that is purely dedicated to online play and multiplayer, many players were shocked to not see a bigger number at launch. With another remake of Nuketown arriving after launch and the ever-evolving Blackout mode available to players, Treyarch is hoping the experience continues to stay fresh long after the game arrives.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases on October 12th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
